This has been a bit of a rough week for us. Nathan was having some trouble breathing at the beginning of the week, so I took him in to see our Pediatrician. She sent us home with an antibiotic, a steroid and a nebulizer machine so we can give him breathing treatments. Every 4 hours. Around the clock. Hoo boy, I'm sleepy! Setting the alarm for the middle of the night, stumbling around in the dark...it's almost like we have a newborn again! The treatments didn't seem to be working at first, but after a mask change we're good to go. He is breathing better and in great spirits. Over the weekend, we'll stretch the treatments to every 6 hours and then do them 3 times a day starting Monday. We'll also be looking forward to getting out of the house again. The older two are getting a little stir crazy!
I'm also doing a little purging around here. After reading this post by my good friend Jennifer, I was inspired to pull out all, and I mean ALL, of our kids' clothes and sort through them. My living room is an utter disaster. Who know three little kids could accumluate so many clothes? Really? Do I really need 25 white onesies? 6 pairs of 2T jeans? Right now the clothes are in two piles: like and don't like. Obviously the don't like pile is getting tossed. The like pile is about to be split into two more piles: like and love. I am only going to keep the love pile. I think this is going to be really hard. I can't tell if the reason I like some of the clothes we have is because I really do like them or because of the fond memories associated with them. "Remember when Sam wore this?" "Aww, I remember we were doing "X" when Katie was wearing this!" So here's to simplifying! Who knows? I may get on a roll and start tossing toys too!
